南兴村是河源市和平县古寨镇下辖的行政村。村名以旧名折合改称而来：解放前此地称南蛇塘，之后改称南星村，1961年改为星光大队，1996年定为现名。[1]2005年设立南兴村村民委员会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1947年后，地名改为南星村；1961年改称星光大队；1996年更名南兴村。2001年，因水灾，村里在村中心点设立了中心村。[1]2005年设立南兴村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

村内有上湾、河东、河西、河龙、石塘等经济合作社，负责集体资产运营和农业生产服务。其中上湾、河东、河西、河龙于1980年5月2日成立，石塘于1980年5月1日成立。[2]
