龙塘村是九和镇的行政村，原称龙田，后因与青溪镇的龙田村重名而改名龙塘。[1] 该村以红肉蜜柚在2020年入选省级专业村名单。[1]

地名由来[edit]

龙田之名取自龙颈輋、早田两个村名的首尾二字；改称龙塘，则是因为龙田境内有玉石塘村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清属古名都下黄沙约（社），民国属下黄砂乡。公社化时期叫龙田大队；其后依次改为龙塘乡（1983年）、九和镇龙塘村（1987年）、管理区（1989年）和村委会（1999年）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

龙塘村的红肉蜜柚使其在2020年8月进入首批省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，同年12月，又被列入2020年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
