历史沿革[edit]
1958年，这里属九和公社芫芬大队。1975年自芫芬大队分出，单设金光大队；1983年为九和区金光乡，1987年起属九和镇，称金光村委会。1989年改称管理区，1999年又改回村委会，此后一直沿用。[1]
经济[edit]
金光村在九和镇东南，邻近河惠莞高速公路和御临门温泉度假区。[2] 2018年12月，扶贫项目「村长伯伯金光生态园」在村里开园，占地约15万平方米，建有民宿约21栋，由省交通运输厅帮扶，运营后每年为村集体带来15万元收入。[2]
