历史沿革[edit]
村名在明代写作黄沙口，隶永安县古名都下黄沙社，清代改隶下黄沙约。民国时它在第一区的下黄砂乡内，1941年划入下砂乡，1947年才有黄砂乡的建制。建国初期属第五区（九和）；九和人民公社成立后叫黄砂大队。1987年4月起属九和镇，其后经管理区（1989年）、村委会（1999年）两步形成现制。2004年12月，龙卜村并入本村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
春甜桔让黄砂村进入了广东省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。到2024年3月，村里又拿到2023年度广东省卫生村的命名。[1]
