河东镇是广东省汕尾市陆丰市北部的镇，在陆城以北、螺河下游东岸，镇名即由此而来。镇域东连八万镇，南邻城东街道，西接河西街道和西南镇，北与大安镇交界；镇政府设在后坎村。1997年自城东镇析出建镇，现辖10个村委会。[1][3][5]

历史沿革[edit]

河东一带在1949年前分属附城区和东海镇，建国初期属一区，到1957年划入炎龙大乡，1958年随公社化属城东公社，1984年为炎龙区辖地，1987年改属城东镇。[5]

河东镇是从城东镇分出的。博雅地名网的概况页写作1997年4月分出，由欧厝、后坎、浮洲等地的8个管区组成；各村的村情页亦说1997年析出，归新设的河东镇，1999年各管区改称村委会。同一网站的沿革栏则记为1999年经省政府批准设镇。两说相差两年，本条以村情页的1997年为准，并注明有另说。[6][5]

青山村晚出，2015年才成立，辖原先分属邻近各村的蕉坑、芸头、燕东3个自然村。甘坑、竹坑两村原为同一个甘葫村委会，2001年经市政府批准分设。[1][7]

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于陆城北部，总面积59.2平方千米，政府页标注的坐标为北纬22°98′、东经115°66′。国道G324线在镇南约900米处，深汕高速公路霞湖出入口距镇政府约500米，省道S240线（陆五公路）穿境而过。[1]

镇内以丘陵和平原为主，东北部多山，属南亚热带季风气候。博雅地名网提到的山岭有灯峰山、河头岭、观音山；螺河源出三神凸山（陆河、紫金两县之间），全长102千米，流域集雨面积1356平方千米，当地称为母亲河。[6]境内水库共11座，库容合计1000万立方米，含小（一）型4座、小（二）型5座；此外还有2处山塘。[1]

人口与行政区划[edit]

据政府页，2021年镇下分10个村委会、56个村民小组，常住2.62万人，户籍则有4.77万人。[3]第七次全国人口普查的常住人口为2.84万人，在陆丰市各镇（街道）中居第15位。[5]其中高田、后陂、大屯、欧厝、浮洲、秋冬、后坎、甘坑、竹坑、青山各为一个村委会，镇政府驻后坎村。[1][5]

经济[edit]

全镇耕地合计1093公顷，旱地占451公顷，其余642公顷为水田。镇政府介绍的特色农产品，浮洲出甘蔗，大屯出生姜，竹坑种菠萝，欧厝产鹰嘴桃。[1]欧厝村的沉香于2021年入选广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[8]后坎村借引进的温泉项目增加了集体收入。[9]

文化与名胜[edit]

  • 清修寺：在大屯村东瓜畲山，原名清修洞，清咸丰八年（1858年）由隆祥法师创建。1986年之后，光容、光告两位法师返寺集资重建；1992年9月，宗教部门批准它为佛教活动场所。现今殿宇有大雄宝殿、天王殿、观音殿、地藏殿、祖师殿及斋堂，全寺占地5.6万平方米，其中建筑3500平方米。[4]
  • 虎岛天后宫：坐落灯峰山脚、螺河东岸，离陆城约5公里。镇政府称其遗址始建于南宋咸淳年间（1265年至1274年）；百度百科则记修建于明代洪武年间（1370年），两说不一。[1][10]
  • 后坎温泉：在后坎村象山南麓，螺河东河东北面，距深汕高速霞湖出入口约1000米；政府页称象山一带的高温热温泉在粤东地区居前列。[1][5]
  • 革命旧址：据镇政府的历史文化页，浮洲村有农会旧址4处，甘坑、车田两村为红色革命遗址；青山村蕉坑被称为红色革命村。[2]

各村的庙宇有高田的三山国王庙、欧厝的天后宫、甘坑的元天上帝庙。[2]

荣誉[edit]

河东镇在2024年3月获评「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」。[5]
