后坎村是汕尾市陆丰市河东镇的村委会，河东镇政府的驻地，在镇北部，陆五公路穿过其中3个自然村，离陆丰市区约3公里。^[1]^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记：1949年设第一区（军潭区）后坎乡；1961年改后坎大队，隶炎龙公社；1983年为炎龙区后坎乡；1987年属城东镇后坎村委会，1994年改管理区；1997年划出城东镇，成为新河东镇的政府驻地；1999年称后坎村委会。^[2]

村庄地势平坦，属山地丘陵，土地总面积约10平方千米，村政府页称境内有山地、矿产和旅游资源。全村5个村民小组共1356户、9356人，世居村民主要是郑氏；常住约7200人，外出者多去广州、深圳。^[1]

耕地4084亩（水田3201亩），山地8500亩，林木覆盖九成，列为县级生态村。荔枝1800亩、龙眼2500亩、香蕉100亩。^[1]博雅地名网说，村里引进公司开发温泉项目，使集体经济收入有所增加。^[2]

后坎温泉景区在村内象山南麓，位于螺河东河的东北面，离深汕高速霞湖出入口约1000米，周边为田园山水。^[2]

村级组织活动场所单独建于2017年，广场约2200平方米，总投资45.6万元，来源是村集体自筹和扶贫单位出资25万元。^[1]
