高田村是汕尾市陆丰市河东镇的一个村委会，在镇中部，离镇政府约2千米，村落坐北朝南，省道S240线从村中经过，东河水自北向南流到村前。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，清乾隆年间（1736年至1795年）村民开荒造田，由零散的居民点连成一村。1949年设河东乡，1961年改称高田大队，隶炎龙公社；1987年成为城东镇的高田村委会，1994年改作高田管理区；1997年从城东镇析出，划归新设的河东镇，1999年改称村委会，沿用至今。^[2]

村政府页记载，全村有高田一村、高田二村、高田三村和朱厝一村、朱厝二村5个自然村，722户5223人，人口较多的姓氏为余姓、佘姓；常住人口2850人。博雅地名网的旧介绍则称下辖3个自然村、总人口5400人、920户，两处数字不同，以前者为新。^[1]^[2]

耕地约1.01平方千米，实际耕种660亩；山林面积1.7333平方千米，森林覆盖率90%，被列为县级生态村。土产以荔枝（200亩）、龙眼（200亩）和香蕉（150亩）为主。^[1]

村内高田一村有三山国王庙1座。每年正月十五元宵节，村里演黄梅戏并办「开丁茶」。^[1]

2019年9月，高田村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年12月，获广东省爱卫会授予2021年广东省卫生村称号。^[2]
