下南村在蕉岭县新铺镇，村落坐落于南山嶂脚下，名称由此而来。2019年3月，该村入选第六批广东省古村落名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年归金沙乡，称下南村；1958年并入新铺公社，下南成为一个生产大队；新铺设区后的1983年，改叫下南乡；1987年称村委会，1990年改管理区，1999年起复称下南村委会。[1]

概况与荣誉[edit]

全村15个村民小组，508户、1890人（村情材料未注年份），面积7.97平方公里，耕地约1034.8亩。2019年9月，下南村列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
