长江村位于蕉岭县新铺镇，石窟河与柚树河在村旁环绕。村名取「两江之水不息」之意，此前叫龙门村，相传因龙姓人家居住而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明崇祯六年（1633）属蓼陂乡，后蓼陂改称同福；1921年归同福乡，分上长江、下长江两部分；1950年称长江村；1952年立长江乡；1958年成长江生产大队；1983年为新铺区长江乡，1987年改称村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年起复称村委会。[1]

全村20个村民小组，588户、2012人（村情材料未注年份），面积3.49平方公里，耕地1465亩，以玉米为主要作物。[1]
人物[edit]
曾鉴修（1916—1985）出生于坪头，1934年秋随父赴印度尼西亚，次年回国求学；钟广荣（1927—1988）曾在南华学院就读，1949年9月起在蕉岭中学任教。[1]
