金沙村在蕉岭县新铺镇，面积14.5平方公里，是镇内较大的村之一。据村情材料，明代这里的山溪里曾冲出金色的矿沙，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
万历年间已有「金沙」之名。1931年，金沙乡河东的福岭、霭岭与丰乐乡合并，改称金丰乡；1952年重立金沙乡；1958年归新铺公社，为金沙生产大队；1983年属新铺区；1987年改称村委会，1990年为管理区，1999年起复称村委会。[1]
概况与荣誉[edit]
全村24个村民小组，555户、1982人（村情材料未注年份），耕地981亩，种玉米、甘蔗、花生。2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
