历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网载，古时村民要渡江到对岸耕作，岸边有湖溪滩，一带被叫作湖溪口。后来外出的乡贤杨光寄信回家，信上把家乡写作“寨下村”，村民便改称与它同音的“礤下”。[1]
该村明代归程乡县万安都，清代归嘉应州龙文堡，民国时期属梅县湖溪乡，其后随水车一带的公社、区建制变动。[1]1987年设礤下管理区，1999年起为礤下村委会。[1]2019年9月，村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」。[1]
