地名由来[edit]

地名资料称，1630年至1661年间，良田的族人分出一支迁到这里，形成村落；据村民说，始祖落基时就把村叫楼下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代归博罗县苏州巡司署；民国时期属四区八保；新中国成立后属二区泰美乡，1956年11月设楼下乡。1958年1月为泰美人民公社楼下大队，到1983年11月为楼下乡，1986年1月改为楼下管理区，到1999年3月起为楼下村民委员会。[1]
