地名由来[edit]
村子四面环山，山口相围成“罗口”，中间有一条弯曲的山溪，相传古时在此设营汛，联络周围各村，故旧称罗溪营。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代归博罗县苏州巡司署；民国时期属第五区四维乡；新中国成立后属二区柏塘乡，1956年11月并入柏塘乡。1958年1月为柏塘人民公社罗营大队，1974年改属泰美人民公社。到1983年11月为罗营乡，1986年1月改为罗营村管理区，到1999年3月起为罗营村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年12月，罗营村列入国家林业和草原局公布的第二批国家森林乡村名单；2020年8月，入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为茶叶。[1]
