地名由来[edit]
当地有一条雷公河，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代归博罗县苏州巡司署；民国时期属四区二保；新中国成立后属二区泰美乡，1956年11月并入三径乡。1958年1月为泰美人民公社红星大队，1975年7月改称雷公大队。到1983年11月为雷公乡，1986年1月改为雷公村管理区，到1999年3月起为雷公村民委员会。[1]

据博雅地名网转载的村情介绍（未注明年份），户数620、人口3150，面积约6.3平方公里，集体经济年均收入约10万元，人均年收入6213元。荔枝、龙眼、黄皮种植面积约2800亩，村里还依托果园、雷公峡漂流和象山森林公园发展休闲旅游。[2]
2020年8月，雷公村入选广东省农业农村厅公布的首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为荔枝。[1]
