名称与沿革[edit]

相传明代陈、周、曾三姓从兴宁长乐迁来定居，清道光年间黄姓又自杨村新田迁入。村落四面环山，位于大蓼山（羊角山）之下，故名大岭下。[1]

清代属苏州巡检司，民国属第六区清平乡；1956至1958年为桔子区公所大岭下乡，1959年设杨村人民公社大岭下大队，1986年称管理区；1990年起由大岭下村民委员会管理。[1]
