宝潭村是博罗县杨村镇的行政村。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
村始建于明末清初，由泰美镇三径一带的人迁来形成。相传先人见象头山脚的山脉如游龙向东北伸至杨村河畔，河水穿过宝龙山洞，又有飞龙在燕子坐梁山筑巢、山下良田千亩，视为风水宝地，遂称宝潭。[1]
明清属苏州巡检司，民国属第六区清平乡；1955年设杨村区公所宝潭乡，1958年10月为宝潭大队，1973年归杨村人民公社，1983年复称宝潭乡，1986年为杨村镇宝潭管理区；1990年起由宝潭村民委员会管理。[1]
