杨村社区是博罗县杨村镇的社区，杨村镇人民政府驻地，城乡分类为镇中心区。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
名称出自杨姓族人从江西与广东南雄迁来立村的说法，镇政府也设在这里。[1]
清代由苏州巡检司管辖。民国二十六年（1937年）为六区清平乡的一部分，新中国成立当年的10月划归三区杨显乡。此后建制几经变动：杨村区（1955年）、杨村乡（1956年11月）、杨显人民公社（1958年），次年3月起为杨村人民公社。1983年11月复称杨村区，1986年1月设镇；社区居民委员会成立于1987年，延续至今。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，杨村社区被列为2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位。[1]
