名称与沿革[edit]
星光村始建于明末清初，由江西石井的人迁来形成。周氏族人记载，其祖先在山岗边缘开基，世代繁衍，成为单一的周姓村，村名为星光，旧称岗头村。[1]
清代属苏州巡检司，明末属博罗县兴都；民国属柏塘乡，1949年后属柏塘公社；1958年设杨村区公社，1978年称杨村人民公社；1990年起由星光村民委员会管理。[1]
