大小塘村是罗阳街道下辖的行政村，原属义和镇。明后期李氏、彭氏从长乐（今五华县）迁来定居，后来大塘、小塘两处的村民也从岭头山迁到博义路旁居住，合称大小塘。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代隶博罗县典史署，民国时期编入一、二区六保。新中国成立后先归一区附城乡，1958年属附城公社的水西乡，1963年属义和公社的水西大队；1983年11月单设大小塘乡，1986年1月改为管理区，1999年起沿用“义和镇大小塘村”之名；其后义和并入罗阳镇（博雅地名网此条文字至2002年被截断）。[1]
