新角村是罗阳街道下辖的行政村，原属义和镇。约三百年前林氏从福建迁来，魏氏从惠阳横沥迁来，张氏于清末从五华迁来；定居后有新屋仔、鲇鱼角等七个居民点，各取“新屋仔”“鲇鱼角”一字，合为村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代隶博罗县典史署，民国时期编入一、二区六保。新中国成立后先归一区附城乡，人民公社化时划归义和乡，1963年为义和公社的新角大队；1983年11月设新角乡，1986年1月改为管理区，1999年起沿用“义和镇新角村”之名；2002年义和并入罗阳镇后，改隶罗阳镇，设村民委员会。[1][2]
