名称与沿革[edit]
辖区开发以前是一大片草地，地势又低，一下雨便积水成一片汪洋，故称草洋。居民委员会于1992年4月1日成立，2001年5月改称草洋社区居民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
社区四至为人民五路（东）、东华大道（西）、石桥村（南）和白云二路（北），面积约0.8平方公里，设6个居民小组。据该页，有常住1269户、3872人，流动人口约2300人。社区归石桥派出所管辖，区国土局、区水利局、房管二所等机关设在辖区，办公地点在承修三路。[2]
2022年9月，草洋社区获评「惠州市2022年度绿色社区」。[1]
