石桥村在淡水南端，西南与大亚湾交界，民国时称定南乡，1999年改设村民委员会。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
村中有一条河沥穿过，河上横架石桥，村名取自这座桥。相传清代有叶、廖、熊、潘、沈五姓先后迁来开荒，逐渐成村，至今已二百多年。民国时期这里叫定南乡，1960年成为石桥大队，后经小乡、管理区等阶段，1999年改称村民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
全村约4平方公里，分设熊屋、大许、上新、上廖、下新、下廖、潘屋等村民小组。据该页，总人口950人、202户，土地已被征收，村民多从事第二、三产业。[1]
2021年12月，石桥村获授「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
