古屋村在淡水东北部，2020年11月获颁「第六届全国文明村镇」称号。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
相传旧时有古姓人家迁到淡水，后来在此建起一座占地约15000平方米的围屋村庄，取名古屋。1949年前后属长安乡，1953年至1957年为古屋乡，1958年至1975年为古屋大队，1976年至1978年划归沙田公社，1979年重回淡水，1984年同洋纳大队并成古屋乡，1987年又分开，1989年改称管理区，1999年成为村民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
村东至新桥村，南邻俄之塘，西临淡澳河，北到桥东社区，面积约1.2平方公里。据该页，有950户、5630人。清末民初，古屋一带有“洛淡堵”的俗称。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年11月，古屋村获颁「第六届全国文明村镇」称号；2021年12月获授「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
