桥背村位于淡水铁桥北端，1999年改设村民委员会，曾多次入选淘宝村名单。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
淡水铁桥的一端连着淡水城，称桥头，另一端便是桥背，村名由此而来。解放初期这里分为桥背、尧岗两个大队，1983年12月合并，改名桥背管理区，到1999年再改为村民委员会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
据该页所载，村里常住730户、3040人，未被征用的耕地有八百八十余亩，村委会有两栋综合办公楼和两间厂房。[1]
桥背村在2020年、2021年、2022年均列入淘宝村名单，2021年12月获授「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
