东华村在淡水东南面，面积约10平方公里，下设27个村民小组。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
1949年后，惠阳县淡水镇重新划分辖区，此处位置偏东，取“东”字，又因当地有一处叫大华凹的地方，合成东华。1953至1957年称东华乡，1958年为东华大队，1976年一度分为东华、大埔两个大队，后重新合并，1983年称东华乡，1989年称东华管理区，1999年4月改为东华村民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
村的东边是新桥村，南边是大亚湾西区的罗屋村，西边挨着土湖村，北边连着红星社区。据该页，全村有813户、3450人，村集体建有6000平方米厂房，租给外资企业加工材料。[1]
2021年12月，东华村获授「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
