新桥村在淡水东面，2019年入选第二批国家森林乡村名单，村内有新桥革命烈士纪念碑。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
村里原有一座下陂庙，庙前河水较深，解放前村民在河中架起两道麻石墩桥，称为新桥，村名由此而来。1949年至1957年称新桥乡，1958年分为建新、新桥两个大队，1961年两队并回新桥大队，此后依次为新桥乡（1983年）、新桥村（1986年）、新桥管理区（1989年），1999年定为村民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
村东与沙田镇桔子浪交界，南面与大亚湾相邻，西接东华村，北邻古屋村，面积约7平方公里，耕地约3000亩，下辖22个自然村小组。据该页，有常住1075户、5298人，另有外来人口2598人。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
新桥革命烈士纪念碑在横排浪村民小组，村委会于2001年动工兴建，碑上纪念在抗日战争、解放战争中牺牲的二十位烈士，刘天、邱翟光、邱声平在其中；抗战初期，村里曾成立“抗日救亡读书会”，办农民夜校。[1]
国家林业和草原局2019年12月公布「第二批国家森林乡村」，新桥村榜上有名；2021年12月，新桥村获授「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
