沙头社区在广东省肇庆市四会市东城街道境内。旧称沙头村，居委会驻地在沙头，名称因此而来；2012年11月经四会市人民政府批复（四府批〔2012〕117号），清塘、陶塘等6个村委会改设为居委会，沙头为其一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

沙头始于1952年的沙头乡，1987年成管理区（大沙区），1993年改村民委员会（大沙镇），1998年转隶新江镇；新江镇2003年撤销，沙头归东城街道；2012年村改居，成为社区居委会。[1]

经济[edit]

博雅地名网所载村情：村在四会东南面，占地约12平方千米，701户、2568人，设21个村民小组（党员57人）；产业由农业转向工业，引进贵金属、染整、食品等企业，2008年村集体经济收入173.5万元。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，沙头社区进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”」创建单位名单；2024年3月获「2023年广东省卫生村」称号；2026年1月又被评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
