历史沿革[edit]
清塘最早在1958年作为大队出现，此后相继改为乡（1983年）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1987年），隶清塘镇；清塘镇1994年撤销后划归东城街道；1998年重称村民委员会，2012年村改居，成为社区居委会。[1]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网所载村情：全村面积约5平方千米，下设17个村民小组，773户2945人，党员38人；集体收入主要靠种养业与二、三产业，鱼塘约1500亩，另把厂房租出去，2008年集体收入102万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年8月，清塘社区（以三角梅）入选广东省农业农村厅公布的「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2024年3月获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
