据说这一带山岭原是杂草丛生、没有树木的「穷山」，解放初村民种上树木、巴戟和肉桂，盼望穷山变富山，便叫金山。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地437亩，以水稻为主，兼种沙糖桔、皇妃贡桔和巴戟。村集体出租山场500亩，年收租金2.5万元，另出租部分水田和一处茶园。[1]
