旺埠村是德庆县高良镇下辖的行政村，村民委员会设在镇东北部、旧321国道旁，距高良圩镇约4公里，辖区面积约10平方公里，辖6个自然村、13个村民小组。据博雅地名网所载，户数370，人口1543多，耕地面积481亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旺埠村民委员会1999年经德庆县人民政府批准设立，因驻地在旺埠村而得名。[1]

旺埠在1958年至1982年间是大队，1982年建乡，1986年起称管理区，1999年之后叫村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地481亩，以水稻为主，兼种沙糖桔、皇妃贡桔和巴戟。村集体有车田电站、旧学校校舍、大队饭店等出租。[1]

旺埠村的巴戟入选2021年9月公布的第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]

著名人物[edit]

徐儒华（1910年—1969年）是旺埠村人，抗日战争时期的中共德庆县支部书记。1944年秋德庆沦陷后，他回到旺埠，与当地党员发动群众抗日保乡，出任乡长和乡抗日自卫队总指挥；1948年2月28日参与组织高良武装起义，攻下高良、旺埠、罗阳三处据点。1949年德庆解放后，他出任县治安委员会主任，后任县长。[2]
