永红社区是怀集县怀城街道的社区，位于县城中心地带，中心市场即在社区内；居民全是非农业的街道居民，没有耕地和山林。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

名称与建制先后为永红大队（1958年）、永红乡（1983年）、永红管理区（1984年）、居委会（1998年）、永红社区居民委员会（1999年）。[1]

地名由来[edit]

居委会设在原永红大队的范围内，因此得名。[1]

经济[edit]

社区辖5个居民小组、670户、8000人，居民以开店、旅店、餐饮、理发、摆摊和运输谋生，有个体私营企业397个；据2009年统计，社会总产值4838.5万元。[2]

荣誉与古迹[edit]

2025年3月，社区获「2023年肇庆市最佳志愿服务社区」称号。[1]怀集县立图书馆旧址位于解放中路68号旧县政府大院内，为纪念孙中山而建，始建于1931年，1935年落成。[3]
