谭舍村是怀集县怀城街道下辖的行政村，在县城近郊，距县城3公里，辖24个村民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传古时有谭、谢两户人家在此居住，后来谢姓迁往别处，这里便称谭舍，意为谭姓居住之处。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
名称与建制先后为谭舍高级社（1955年）、谭舍大队（1958年）、谭舍乡（1983年11月）、谭舍村委会（1986年）、谭舍管理区（1988年）、谭舍村民委员会（1998年）。[2]
经济[edit]
村情材料称有638户、3231人，耕地1723亩，山地1169亩；农户用本地竹材编织竹帽、箩笠、米筛等，全村有个体私营企业56个，松脂基地7650亩。据2009年统计，社会总产值为2494万元，人均纯收入5593元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，谭舍村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
