谭勒村是怀集县怀城街道下辖的行政村，在县城近郊，距县城约2公里。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传村里一位谭姓村民是将军，立过军功，为国捐躯后，村民自发捐银、刻石立碑纪念，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
名称与建制先后为谭勒高级社（1955年）、谭勒大队（1958年）、谭勒乡（1983年11月）、谭勒村委会（1987年）、谭勒管理区（1989年4月）、谭勒村民委员会（1998年）。[2]
经济[edit]
村情材料称共8个村民小组，446户，人口2320，耕地1123亩，山地3764亩（含部分天湖林场）。[1]村里的红砖厂年产砖5000万块，产值1110万元，另有石场、粮食加工厂和商业餐饮；据2009年统计，社会总产值4665万元，人均收入5773元。[1]
