石龙村是怀集县怀城街道下辖的行政村，在县城近郊，与怀集新城隔江相望。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
名称与建制先后为石龙高级社（1955年）、石龙大队（1958年）、石龙乡（1971年11月）、石龙村委会（1987年）、石龙管理区（1989年4月）、石龙村民委员会（1998年）。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村域在西北角的一处石山旁，石山横穿中洲河直达对岸，取「猛龙过江」之意，各取「石」「龙」二字为名。[1]
经济[edit]
村情材料称辖12个村民小组、470户、2332人，耕地1449亩，山地3543亩（含车头林场）。[1]村里办有1000亩蔬菜基地，土瓜、苦瓜、豆角、白菜、梅菜成为怀城市场上的特色，林业以采松脂为主，并利用外资营造2300亩速生丰产林。据2009年统计，社会总产值2799万元，人均收入5731元。[1]
