高村在横山镇西面，南邻五和镇，北邻洲仔镇，以山岗相连；辖21个村民小组，面积约12.29平方公里，博雅地名网载总人口3200多人，距横山圩约1.5公里。[1][3]博雅地名网写作“高村村”。

历史沿革[edit]

道光年间的高村归官塘铺；1930年设高村乡，隶九区；1954年成立农业社，1958年改为大队；1983年改乡，1987年为村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1998年复称村民委员会。[1][2]

自然资源[edit]

村里有小型一等规模的毕陇水库，大潮山海拔达980米，另有盘龙山矿泉水；村里办有石坳、毕陇两座水电站，并种植皇帝柑和野生的横山大潮苦竹笋。[3]横山镇概况称毕陇水库集雨面积10.5平方公里，高村储有钽铌矿。[4]《维基百科》称横山钽铌是全国少有的高钽矿。[5]

高村进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
