莲花镇是广东省肇庆市鼎湖区东部的一个镇，东面与四会市相接，距广州约60公里，距肇庆市端州区约35公里[2]。镇域面积约67平方公里，下辖1个社区和13个行政村[1]。1994年4月从永安镇分出设镇[3]。第七次全国人口普查时全镇有3.34万人；2014年7月被七部委确定为全国重点镇[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所录的沿革，莲花镇一带在明洪武年间（1368—1398年）分属高要县的下围乡樟村都和依坑都；清光绪三十年（1904年）属高要县第七区的作人都、槎西都和冈陵堡；1928年改为高要县第四区的三个乡（作人、槎西、冈陵）；1943年10月，其地又分属该区的人和乡和槎冈乡[3]。

1953年5月，这里分设莲塘、大布、依坑、蔗村、布廊五个乡，同属高要县第九区；1955年2月划归永安区，1958年3月并入永安乡，当年10月公社化，编入广星人民公社三团；1959年7月起先后隶属永安人民公社、永安区和永安镇；1994年4月自永安分设莲花镇，沿用至今[3]。鼎湖区各村页则记作1993年4月从永安镇分出、归莲花镇[1][5]。

地理环境[edit]

镇域位于鼎湖区东部，321国道与三茂铁路从镇内穿过[2]。镇内的莲塘、布基、富廊三个村委会都在321国道沿线[5]。

人口民族[edit]

镇的概况页写作总人口2.5万人（未注明年份）；2021年6月公布的第七次全国人口普查结果为3.34万人，在鼎湖区各街道、乡镇中列第3位；镇域面积在区内列第5位[1][2]。维基百科列出的人口为32139人（未注明年份）[4]。

各村中，莲塘村最大：8个自然村、33个村民小组，1791户、6565人，村总面积7平方公里；大布村、布基村、富廊村人口在2000人以上；曹王村最小，仅1个村民小组、511人（均为博雅地名网所录的村情，多数为2008年前后数字）[5]。

据镇概况页，全镇有可耕地32556亩，出产肇实、塘鱼、黑鬃鹅、鲜鸡蛋、果蔬和优质大米；农业上有奶牛场、万头猪场、红龙果场和蔬菜基地，并以奶牛场为中心种植玉米、甘蔗作饲料[2]。镇内的温氏奶牛场占地1300多亩，年养奶牛3000头；另有一家台商投资的林业公司，以及投资20多亿元的外商独资纺织印染企业（据概况，称肇庆市最大）[2]。依坑一带的“依坑美食街”集旅游观光、饮食于一体，该页称驰名西江流域[2]。

镇域另有一处再生资源综合利用工业园区，经国家和省环保部门批准设立，定点处理并利用第七类固体废物等，规划总面积约5200亩[2]。城区建设上，概况页提出“镇级架构、县级规模”的目标，称中心城区已由2平方公里扩至12平方公里，并建有镇文化广场[2]。

各村页记有迁入建村的宗族：依坑一村的梁氏（南宋理宗年间，1225年）、依坑二村的梁氏（元末明初，自大梁村迁来）、曹王村的邓氏（1768年）、莲塘村的谢氏（宋末元初，自蔗村迁来）、大布村的廖氏（1279年，自南雄迁来）、蔗村的李氏（宋咸淳年间，自南雄珠玑巷迁来）、布基村的陈氏（南宋咸淳六年，自广利桂荣迁来）、古遗村的谢氏（元代，自莲塘迁来）、富廊村的常氏（明初）[5]。

著名人物[edit]

博雅地名网在莲花镇名下列有四位早期革命者：1902年生于布基村的陈殿邦；1895年生于六桥村的谢敬持，曾任高要县农会副委员长；1901年生于莲塘村的谢桂荣，曾入黄埔军校第四期；1894年生于莲塘村的谢春荣，曾入黄埔军校第二期宪兵班，1927年在广州东校场遇害，葬于广州起义烈士陵园[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2014年7月，住房城乡建设部等七部委把莲花镇列为「全国重点镇」；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」[1]。
