历史沿革[edit]
村名因村委会设在莲花村而来。1949年，这里归曲江县大塘区的东厢乡；1951年先后并入环市公社与新韶公社；此后的建制依次是：1982年市郊区新韶区公所的莲花乡，1984年浈江区新韶办事处的莲花乡，1987年新韶镇的莲花村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村民多姓杨、邓、钟、邱、姜等。2014年总人口983人。[1]
经济[edit]
村里以种植为主，有水稻以及白菜、菠菜、油菜、西红柿、萝卜等蔬菜；改革开放后几经调整产业结构，利用邻近部队和交通便利的条件，在抓蔬菜生产的同时发展二、三产业。2014年有耕地1314亩，其中蔬菜926亩、水稻388亩，山林7418亩，鱼塘645亩。[1]
