历史沿革[edit]
李氏族人于宋咸淳年间自南雄珠玑巷迁来。1953年5月划入高要县第九区，设蔗村乡；1958年并入广星人民公社三团，后隶属永安人民公社；几度与罗布合并又分开，1976年起自成一队；1986年定名蔗村；1988年3月划出高要，归鼎湖区；1993年4月改隶新设的莲花镇，1998年起设村民委员会[2]。
名称由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，开村的李朝来是宋代人，谦称这里是“借”别人的地方立村，叫“借村”，后因“借”字不雅，改为“蔗村”[1]。
经济[edit]
2008年村总收入72万元，人均收入6138.9元[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，蔗村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」[1]。
