旧县村是广东省茂名市信宜市水口镇辖下的行政村。据博雅地名网所载村情资料（未注明年份），全村设13个村民小组，在册683户、3680人，总面积2.3平方千米，耕地1457亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：据村情资料，此地是谭娥县城旧址，县城后来迁往镇隆八坊，故称旧县[1]。

建置沿革：解放初期为十七村农会，其后1958年起为旧县大队，随后1983年起改设乡一级政权，再后其后几经改称，接着1999年起定名旧县村民委员会[1]。

荣誉：2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。

村里的主要经济作物是香蕉和蔬菜[1]。据村情资料，上一年全村经济总收入约1250多万元，村里修建村道，发展烟叶、蔬菜种植和北运，扩大香蕉种植[1]。
