六岸村隶属高州市荷花镇，是镇下辖的行政村。村名原作“绿岸”，因青山绿水环绕得名，后谐音写成六岸。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年体制下放时，从平头岗分出一部分另立大队，因村场大、人口多，称六岸大队；1983年改设乡，1986年改设农村管理区，1999年起为村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]2019年9月，六岸村列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的2018年度名单。[1]
