张家堡村隶属高州市荷花镇，是镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，村名是因为这里过去的居民都姓张。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年体制下放之前，张家堡大队曾与今石板镇境内的4个大队合并为一个大队；体制下放后这4个大队划归石板公社，原张家堡大队名称不变。1983年改设乡，1986年改设农村管理区，1999年起为村民委员会。[1]
2019年9月，张家堡村列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的2018年度名单；2021年12月获广东省卫生村称号。[1]
