潭坡村是高州市荷花镇东南部的行政村，下设14个村民小组，总面积4.5平方千米，耕地1994亩，据百度百科人口2441人。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
最初是谭姓人家住在山坡上，村名叫谭坡，后谐音改作潭坡。[1]
解放后经历互助组、初级社、高级社几个阶段；1961年体制下放，村里建起大队部，1964年佛子大队与潭坡大队合并，仍称潭坡大队。1983年改设乡，1986年改设农村管理区，1999年起为村民委员会。[1]2019年9月，潭坡村列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的2018年度名单。[1]
经济[edit]
主要经济作物是香蕉，近年种植近1000亩；同时有皮革加工，并发展经济林业；山地养羊每年约出栏2000头。[2]
