荷花村隶属高州市荷花镇，是镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。村名来自当地过去种植莲子、莲花遍地盛开。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
荷花村原与大路山同属一个大队，体制下放时为方便服务群众而分立，曾名红胜大队。1983年改设乡，1986年改设农村管理区，1999年起为村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
2019年9月，荷花村列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的2018年度名单；2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
