村里有七个自然村里，名为南安里、东安里、西宁里，另有聚安里、五冲里、义兴里和六冲里；李、区、吴为较大姓氏，设7个村民小组。[1]

面积2平方千米，耕地798亩，工商业用地619亩。村里先后建起3个工业区、1个饮食服务区和1个商业区，工业企业共62家，行业涉及汽车销售、餐饮、五金、石材、腊味。[1]

村内设有新民小学、新民幼儿园、农贸市场和农家书屋；近年的网格化管理只划1个网格，配专职网格员2名。[1]
