良教村位于佛山市顺德区乐从镇西北面，距镇区约3公里，南、西两面与禅城区南庄镇相邻，面积约4平方千米，由良教、马滘、理教、良沙四个自然村组成[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，南宋庆元年间（1195至1201年）有人经南雄珠玑巷迁来，这里是泥沙淤积成的洲，起名“良洲”；1454年村人何经中进士，为纪念此事改称良教头，后简作良教[1]。民国时属沙良乡，新中国成立初期属葛良乡，1958年设良教大队，1983年起称乡，1987年起称村，1989年起叫管理区，1999年起为良教村委会[1]。

经济与设施[edit]

博雅地名网记村内人口2830人、790户，流动人口2900多人，下设5个村民小组和1个股份社[2]。村于2009年创建成广东省卫生村；2020、2021、2022年连续入选淘宝村，2019年9月又入选广东省2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位[2][1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

  • 良教祠堂群：2006年10月25日以此名列为第四批佛山市文物保护单位，其中何氏家庙在外工村，创建于明景泰五年（1457年），现为清代风格，面阔三间、进深三进[3]。
  • 诰赠都御史祠：在良教南便街，为纪念都察院右副都御史何经，明弘治八年（1495年）建，光绪十年（1884年）重修，2009年7月列为第四批顺德区文物保护单位；族谱称何经是顺德建县后最早登龙虎榜的人[4]。
