小布村古称桂圃，位于佛山市顺德区乐从镇北面约2公里，北靠东平河，东倚佛山新城区，乐从钢铁市场就设在村域内[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
南宋宝庆元年（1225年），欧、刘、黄三姓从保昌（今南雄）迁来开村，原名“桂圃”；后来何姓迁入，村分“大圃”与“小圃”，何姓住小圃，欧、刘两姓外迁后，何姓将桂圃改叫小圃，因读音相近成了小布[1]。新中国成立初期属顺德县第五区腾桂乡，1958年设小布大队，1983年起称乡，1987年起称村，1989年起叫管理区，2000年改称村委会[1]。
经济与人口[edit]
村域面积一平方千米多，西傍325国道，南连腾冲社区，有8个自然村组，居民2100多人[1]。乐从钢铁市场是全国知名的钢材集散地，设在本村，集体收入靠出租钢材经营场地，博雅地名网称2009年财政收入约8000万元[1]。2020、2021、2022年连续入选淘宝村，2019年9月列入广东省2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位[1]。
