小涌村位于佛山市顺德区乐从镇正东约4.2公里，面积约1.01平方千米，村名取自通向村内的一条窄河涌；南宋时称锦里乡[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网：南宋后期（约1232年）有人为避战乱，经南雄珠玑巷来此定居；景定三年（1262年）进士曾南宝在村前建“锦里南庄”牌坊，村因此称锦里乡。明初属西淋都时改名“小里”，清光绪十年中法战争时顺德办团防，大概因村中有小涌，改称小涌，沿用至今[1]。民国时属平桂乡，新中国成立初期归岳僚乡，1952年改隶荷涌乡，1958年设小涌大队，1983年起称乡，1987年起称村，1989年起叫管理区，1999年改称村委会[1]。
经济与人口[edit]
村情材料记全村约4000人，1049户，耕地450亩，鱼塘280亩，分16个村民小组，有两个工业区，合计210亩[2]。2006年获广东省卫生村称号，同年还获“交通安全村”等称号；2020、2021、2022年连续入选淘宝村[2][1]。
