岳步村在佛山市顺德区乐从镇东南部，紧靠东平新城，面积约2.767平方千米，传说始建于五代，因岳姓开村得名，村中心有祭祀岳飞的绥定伯神庙[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网引述两种开村时间：地名由来说五代后晋天福年间（936至943年）岳氏到此开村；历史沿革则说建村于后周显德二年（952年）[1]。宋代在邓地街建过岳氏宗祠，后来又在村中心建了纪念同姓民族英雄岳飞的“绥定伯神庙”，庙至今仍在[1]。
民国时属岳良乡，新中国成立初期属岳僚乡；1961年属沙滘区岳步大队，1983年属乐从区岳步乡，1991年成为乐从镇的岳步管理区，直到1998年才称岳步村委会[1]。
经济与人口[edit]
村下设1个股份社、14个村民小组，常住人口4000多人，1160多户，外来暂住人口约1600人；耕地1014亩，鱼塘1437亩，另有工业区两个，合计322亩[1]。2020、2021、2022年连续入选淘宝村；佛山地铁3号线在镇内设有岳步站[1][2]。
