四十亩村是汕头市潮南区两英镇西面的行政村，东邻高美村，西接上小坑村，属革命老区村，面积约0.3平方千米[1]。

名称由来[edit]

此处旧临锦石湖，最早叫锦石村；后来先人买进四十亩田地，改称四十亩[1]。万历年间（1573—1619年）立村[1]。

公社化时它属高美大队，1986年改设四十亩村委会，1992年一度归上小坑管理区，1999年复为村委会[1]。

全村365户、2008人，耕地220亩，村民以务农和外出务工为生，村内有小学一所[1]。
