古厝社区位于汕头市潮南区两英镇南部的大南山脚下，在镇上算得上针织服装的主要产地之一[1]。社区得名于明隆庆年间在此搭寮的古姓祖先[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

隆庆年间，姓古的先人在这里搭寮落脚，称古厝寮，后改称古厝[1]。

公社化时这里分设古厝、龙岭两个大队，1983年两队合并为古厝乡，1986年建居委会，1999年恢复居委会之名[1]。

社区概况[edit]

社区分6个村民小组，共1624户、8862人，土地1208多亩，耕地293亩；做针织服装或相关配套的企业、作坊有30多家，2009年工业总产值5.6亿元[1]。2026年3月，古厝被认定为百千万工程的第三批广东省典型村镇[1]。
